Ever since the late 1800s, department stores have used the “white sale” to lure customers into shops after the holidays. And guess what? We’re still suckers for it. Right now, many of your favorite retailers have their bedding on sale. A perfect time, then, to redo the bedroom! Here are five styles and 15 looks that would transform any master suite.
Think all white. Crisp. And clean. Pretend you’re in a five-star hotel, where the sheets are impeccably sleek, smooth and likely have an eleventy billion thread count. At least one of the looks you can get is actually called The Hotel Collection.

Colorful and Quirky
If you’re tired of simple all-white bedroom decor, a burst of color might be just what you need. (This is especially true if you’ve got white walls.) Go for bright, bold color-blocking sets. Or grab bedding with memorable designs and iconography to really stand out.

The key to shabby chic bedding is that it’s artfully worn, frayed or distressed. Basically, your blankets and sheets should look as if they belong in a country farmhouse. The color scheme is typically light in hue or just plain white, ivory or quaint pink. You might see eyelets, ruffles or other details to indicate a certain delicacy of the fabric. The patterns may even look purposely worn, lending a lived-in look.
