Go Animal Style at In-N-Out

Animal Style Burger and FriesGet burgers done animal style at In-N-Out, and you’ll get pickles, extra spread, grilled onions and mustard fried onto each meat patty. You can order your fries this way, too!

In-N-Out is pretty vocal about its secret menu. Ask for your burger “animal style,” and you’ll get pickles, extra spread, grilled onions and mustard cooked into each patty. You can even apply this treatment to your fries (includes cheese, In-N-Out’s secret spread and grilled onions on top). There’s also the Flying Dutchman (two beef patties sandwiched around two slices of cheese with no bun), a Neapolitan milkshake, grilled cheese or 3 x 3 (burger with three patties) and 4 x 4 (burger with four patties).

Sip on Butterbeer and Cake Batter Frappuccinos at Starbucks

Butterbeer FrappYes! Starbucks has its own version of Butterbeer. This stuff has us under a spell.

Harry Potter fans, rejoice! You don’t have to travel to the Islands of Adventure to enjoy a Butterbeer. Starbucks serves up its own variation, and it’s a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino mixed with caramel syrup, toffee nut syrup and a caramel drizzle on top. The equally-as-delicious Cake Batter Frappuccino is made by adding hazelnut flavoring to a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. By the way, there are tons more secret Frappuccinos to explore.

Note: Even if your local barista isn’t aware of these secret drinks, just have the ingredients pulled up on your phone; the recipes are easy to whip together!

Get the McGangbang at McDonald’s

McGangbangUm, so the McDonald’s McGangbang is a McChicken Sandwich inside of a McDouble. And apparently, it’s delicious.

McDonald’s has a pretty robust secret menu, but the McGangbang is one of its most famous items. It’s a McChicken Sandwich inside of a McDouble, and people love it.

Also, we had no idea how many sauces McDonald’s actually has. There’s Sweet ’n Sour, Honey Mustard, Chipotle BBQ, Tangy Barbeque, Spicy Buffalo, Sweet Chili, Hot Mustard and Creamy Ranch.

Order Quesadillas, Quesaritos and Burritodillas at Chipotle

BurritodillaChipotle’s Burritodilla is a burrito served up quesadilla-style. Amazing.

Because Chipotle’s burritos aren’t delicious enough, people had to go and create more cheesy goodness. At Chipotle, you can order a quesadilla, a quesarito (a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla) or a burritodilla (a burrito grilled like a quesadilla and much smaller than the quesarito). Pro tip: You can also order nachos or ask for tortillas or taco shells on the side with any burrito-bowl purchase.

Max Out on Meat With a Suicide Burger at Burger King

Burger King Suicide Burger Quad StackerThat, my friends, is a burger made with four patties, four slices of cheese, bacon and special sauce. Whew!

Of course, not everyone eating out is looking to cut calories and make menu options healthier. Sometimes, you just want to indulge. Although Burger King’s regular menu has you covered, its secret menu takes gluttony to the next level. For the ultimate calorie-laden treat, ask for the Suicide Burger—sometimes called the Quad Stacker. This hefty hamburger features four beef patties, four slices of cheese, plus bacon and special sauce sandwiched between two sesame seed buns. Hack the Menu’s five-star rating suggests your taste buds will love it … even if your arteries don’t!

Psst … you can also order “Frings” at Burger King. This is half an order of fries mixed with half an order of onion rings. Yum!

Climb Arby’s Meat Mountain to the Land of Success, Regrets and Awesomeness

Arby's Meat MountainThis is Arby’s Meat Mountain. May your climb up it be glorious and filled with meat sweats.

Okay, this Arby’s item is insane. Just look at the ingredients: two chicken tenders, roast turkey, ham, one slice of Swiss cheese, corned beef, brisket, Angus steak, one slice of cheddar cheese, roast beef and three half-strips of bacon.

Dig Into an Enchirito, The Incredible Hulk and The Superman Burrito at Taco Bell

Incredible Hulk BurritoWhoa there. Taco Bell has an Incredible Hulk Burrito, which is a fresco-style Beefy Five-Layer Burrito with guacamole instead of nacho cheese.
At Taco Bell, you can get an Enchirito, which is a flour tortilla stuffed with spicy beef, melted cheese and warm beans. It’s topped with Taco Bell’s red sauce and more cheese. An Incredible Hulk is actually kind of healthy-ish. It’s a Beefy Five-Layer Burrito with guacamole instead of nacho cheese. Subtract the inner 6-inch tortilla shell and make it fresco. The Superman is a Cheesy Double Beef Burrito loaded with extra potatoes, sour cream, guacamole and crispy tortilla strips.

Choose a Vegetable Over Pasta at Olive Garden

Steamed Broccoli Olive GardenAt Olive Garden, you can substitute steamed broccoli or asparagus for pasta. Goodbye, guilt!

The Italian dishes at Olive Garden can be so satisfying, but they’re a nightmare if you’re watching your carb intake. Thankfully, there is a menu hack for that: You can substitute steamed vegetables for the pasta on most dishes for no additional charge. Think Bolognese sauce over steamed broccoli or seafood Alfredo over asparagus. This simple ask can save you plenty of calories and add extra vitamins and nutrients to your meal. Steer clear of the breadsticks, and you’ve got a relatively healthy and tasty Italian treat.

Get Seafood Cooked in Olive Oil at Red Lobster

Red Lobster Olive OilRequest that your food be cooked in olive oil rather than butter at Red Lobster.

Seafood chain Red Lobster typically cooks its shrimp and fish in butter for an ultra-indulgent finish. However, if you’re health-conscious or simply prefer a more Mediterranean taste, ask for your menu items to be cooked in olive oil instead. Although olive oil and butter have comparable calories, olive oil has some extra hidden health benefits. The International Journal of Molecular Sciences shows a Mediterranean diet, which features lashings of olive oil, helps prevent heart disease. Because olive oil is a plant-based product, it also contains no cholesterol. For an even healthier option, skip the fat altogether and request steamed seafood.

Go Vegetarian With a Meat-Free Veggie Whopper at Burger King

Veggie WhopperBurger King has a Veggie Whopper—all the delicious toppings but none of the meat!
Burger King might be a favorite fast-food choice among carnivores, but that doesn’t mean the vegetarians have to miss out. Although the regular menu might make you think people on a meat-free diet have to make do with sides like onion rings and fries, the secret menu has a burger right up every vegetarian’s alley. The Veggie Whopper contains all the regular Whopper staples, including tomato, lettuce and red onion, but leaves the meat out completely. Note: Burger King also has a veggie burger, which is actually pretty dang good!

Try an American Classic in Smoothie Form at Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice Secret SmoothiesJamba Juice has a ton of secret smoothie flavors, including Apple Pie, Pink Starburst and Sour Gummy Bear.

Jamba Juice’s menu is so extensive that it’s got something to cater for most smoothie enthusiasts. But if you’re a regular, it’s easy to get stuck in a smoothie rut. That’s where the secret menu comes in. There are plenty of secret smoothies that Jamba Juice employees across the country know how to make. The Apple Pie Smoothie is one of the most popular for its distinctive dessert taste and patriotic flair. You can also try a Pink Starburst smoothie, a Sour Gummy Bear smoothie or a Fruity Pebbles smoothie.

  12. Francine Miller says:

I work at burger King and the veggie whopper one is wrong. A veggie BURGER has the veggie patty on it. The veggie WHOPPER is simply a regular whopper with no patty on it… just the veggies and sauce on the bun.

    • marita says:

that happened to me once! I always get the veggie burger and once my husband came home with veggies on a bun. He said he ordered a whopper.

    • RetailMeNot Editors says:

Thank you, Francine! We’ve updated the article. That’d be a major bummer to order what you think is a veggie burger and literally only get vegetables on a bun. Plus, the BK veggie patty is so good!

  13. Leeann Lottner says:

The “cake batter” or “cupcake” Frappuccino is made with Hazelnut flavor not almond. Starbucks doesn’t have almond flavoring, or almond milk. You have to have the recipe and there is no guarantee they have all the ingredients.

    • RetailMeNot Editors says:

Thanks, Leeann. We’ve updated the article. Almond … hazelnut … same difference, right? Just kidding. Thanks again for the correction! 🙂

  14. Chris Valdea says:

They forgot the chocolate chip mcflurry from McDonald’s

  15. David says:

I worked at mcds they got the gangbang wrong it’s just a mcchicken patty in the middle not the whole sandwich

  16. Katie Carrabba says:

Chipotle’s questions is delicious, but they charge you for a burrito and a quesadilla. Plus it takes forever to make and the rest of the line gets mad at you

  17. thanatos8285 says:

If you live somewhere with an In’n’Out and Animal Style is something you’ve never heard of… you just suck at life. That’s all there is to it.

  18. Fnakhdjdncnekdn says:

Dairy queen doesn’t have the midnight truffle anymore . it was discontinued several months back. Now there’s salted Carmel truffle instead.

    • Amy Higgins says:

Thats the point dude. They’re saying if you never thought you would have it again that Dairy Queen actually has the ingredients to make a blizzard that tastes the same.

  19. Jason says:

I like the Alaskan Big Mac. It’s a big mac of course, but with 2 big quarter pounder patties instead of the flimsy patties.

  20. Seth Webber says:

How do you not have the God Sub at subway? They aren’t allowed to call it that as of 3 years ago anymore, but it’s got 4 servings of every sliced meat. Now called the quadruple meat feast.
Made with two whole sub buns instead of one. Passes the bounce test if dropped. Feeds a family for three days basically.
